About Elie Wakim
Elie is a physiotherapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and an osteopath, as well as the owner of Medi-Club Physio. He is a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) and the Association québécoise des ostéopathes (AQO).
Throughout his education and professional career, Elie has gained experience working with a diverse range of patients, including those with orthopaedic, neurological, cardiorespiratory, and geriatric conditions. To further expand his knowledge and therapeutic approach, he pursued osteopathy, allowing him to combine physiotherapy and osteopathic techniques to provide comprehensive and individualized patient care.
Elie has a particular interest in manual therapy, back and neck rehabilitation, and sports medicine. He treats a variety of conditions, including spinal dysfunctions, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, vertigo, and biomechanical issues. His treatments incorporate advanced manual therapy techniques, the McKenzie Method, muscle activation techniques, and individualized rehabilitation exercises.
He also holds certifications in spinal and joint manipulation and dry needling, delivered by the OPPQ. These additional qualifications allow him to integrate a broad range of techniques into his treatments based on each patient’s specific condition, needs, and rehabilitation goals.
Elie has extensive experience working with athletes across a variety of sports. He worked with Olympic-level basketball players during preparations for London 2012 and the Road to Rio 2016, as well as with Wimgym gymnasts, Pointe-Claire swimmers, runners, tennis players, and soccer players. He has also gained valuable pediatric experience through the Montreal Children’s Hospital satellite clinic at Medi-Club.
Elie is committed to providing each patient with a personalized approach to treatment and injury prevention. His strong analytical skills, clinical experience, and hands-on approach allow him to develop treatment plans focused on restoring function, improving mobility, reducing pain, and supporting long-term well-being.
Outside of his practice, Elie enjoys playing the piano, basketball, and training at the gym.
